Bee Removal

Have you ever seen a bee swarm in flight? It’s one of the most amazing experiences to witness as the noise and the activity is certainly a natural wonder. The swarming process is a natural event where the old queen bee leaves the hive with thousands of flight bees, they settle for a few days and then select a permanent nest site. Their choice of nest site is often not convenient for humans.

I collect swarms of bees from all over Melbourne and remove nests of established bees. I offer same day service for swarms and can usually remove nests within 48 hours of quotation of your job. I have removed bees from trees, houses, cubby houses, possum boxes, cars, fences and compost bins. The extraction of honey bees from house walls may include the removal and reinstatement of cladding or plaster board from internal walls. If the removal of cladding is not possible I use a special devices to let bees out of your wall space but not to return. In some situations I use a bee-vac to gently lift bees alive out from cavities.

The bees collected from your property are firstly quarantined and then introduced into my apiary. I provide them a regulation hive box and monitor their re-establishment.

Yes, I also remove european wasps, however, as they are a predator of honey bees I do not keep them alive.
